Secure Personal Radio (SPR) RF-7800S
Harris Corporation introduces its Secure Personal Radio (SPR) RF-7800S. The SPR radio offers completely automatic and hands-free operation, is small and lightweight, and fits easily in a pocket.
The RF-7800S provides secure, digitized voice and data communications to every member of the team. It fits seamlessly into a variety of network-centric systems, including those based on the Harris Falcon family of tactical radios, bringing new, advanced capabilities to the individual soldier.
Its unique wireless network does not require infrastructure and allows reliable communications, even when backbone and trunk services are not available or out of range. The network is designed to provide robust, long-range operation even in the most challenging urban terrain. It offers both traditional narrowband communication, as well as a sophisticated wideband waveform that provides secure, full-duplex voice conferencing, situational awareness, and high-speed data.
The radio incorporates a built-in SPS GPS receiver, allowing easy-to-use position tracking and messaging services. All transmissions are secured by standard AES or customer-unique Citadel® II digital encryption.
