The Falcon Watch family of sensor products uses robust, interchangeable modules (seismic, magnetic, passive IR) designed to detect nearby movement of vehicles or personnel. The data from multiple detectors, when used together (with RF-5400VH-MS and RF-5400V-SR sensors) can be fused at the sensor to minimize false alarms and detection of animals.
Seismic Detector The geophone detects seismic vibrations and generates an electrical signal which is analyzed to determine the type of intrusion (pedestrian or vehicle).
Magnetic Detector The magnetometer detects magnetic field changes caused by ferrous materials such as weapons or vehicles moving through an area (not affected by stationary metallic objects).
Passive Infra-Red (PIR) Detector The PIR detects incident infrared changes caused by a thermal mass such as personnel or vehicles moving through an area.
